The Curse of Betrayal | Teaser Two

First thing's first.. My friend @suzanstmaur posted a cool article about our prompt this week! Check it out here and see how she did it with her blogging. Also, check out her awesome website. There's so much content you could get lost for days reading up in there. :) How to write better is the name.

Now... onto the teaser. I'm going along with this whole Meet ____ technique and people are really into it. So today I'm going to interview Megan who becomes one of Ryder's friends at DGA. You'll get to know her but let me tell you, she's very quiet and reserved so let's see how the interview goes.


*This interview is at the beginning of the school semester. Only a couple weeks after Ryder joins DGA.

Interview with Megan

Interviewer: Hello, Megan. It's nice to meet you.
Megan: Nice to meet you, too! I'm, uh, excited to be here.
Interviewer: So, how is your spring semester at DGA
Megan: Well, I'm really working hard in class. I have a fairly difficult schedule so it's tough.
Interviewer: What classes are you taking?
Megan: I start the day with stats with Professor A. Actually Ryder's in that class with me as well. But my Creatures, good versus bad level two class is damn near impossible. I sit next to Shane so I'm distracted but still. Prof Elytis is a tough professor.
Interviewer: How is your relationship with Shane progressing?
Megan: It's totally awesome. We've been together a while now, well, since last semester but still. Look what he got me for Christmas!
Interviewer: A heart necklace, that certainly looks serious.
Megan: I hope so! We're pretty much meant to be together. With his nerd glasses and fire hair and I'm not stupid, I know I look hippie-ish and like I don't care. It's a match made in heaven.
Interviewer: How have you and Ryder gotten along thus far?
Megan: Really good! The first time I met her was pretty awkward. Lisa was being a bitch like usual. Oh, *covers mouth* please, don't tell her I said that. Anyway, I felt bad because she looked so sad and lost. But we've gotten close.
Interviewer: I've heard some rumors of a prank war...
Megan: Oh god. Who told you?! Yes, we started a war with the boys.
Interviewer: And by boys... what are the teams?
Megan: Well, it's me, Ryder, Kara and Lisa who started it. We snuck out of Aphro Hall and stole Carter's jersey from his room. But now Mikey and Shane are in on it, too. They nailed us with snowballs on the quad yesterday. It was bad. I think Mikey kissed Ryder, too.
Interviewer: Woah. It sounds like things are getting crazy.
Megan: Mikey has had a crush on Ryder ever since she got here. I only know this from Shane so keep it on the DL. I mean, I don't get why she doesn't go for it. Mikey is so hot and a great friend. But then she told us about the whole curse thing so who knows. I think she has enough on her plate.
Interviewer: Ryder told you about the curse?
Megan: She didn't want to. We kind of pulled it out of her during a sleepover. She told us about Professor A and the other guy, Ollie or something. I feel bad. I mean, I've read about the curse in mythology class and then again in my powers class but it's crazy meeting a legend.
Interviewer: Is that what people think of Ryder? A legend?
Megan: I guess people who don't know her would think that. But I don't. I really like her. I think she's a loyal friend. She's really funny and doesn't take crap from anyone. I kind of wish I was more like her. The first time she stood up to Lisa, I almost died inside. I've been wanting to do that for years.
Interviewer: So why don't you?
Megan: Even though I get taken advantage of and kind of looked over, I love Lisa. She's been my best friend forever and although she had a hard exterior she's got a good heart. I think you'll be able to see that in the book. She's not always a bitch.
Interviewer: Alright, Megan. Thanks for giving us a little peek into your life. I look forward to talking again!
Megan: Me too! This wasn't as scary as I thought it would be.
