Playlist Tease | TCOB #7

#7 of my playlist teasers. First I will name the song, then lyrics, then video, then I'll give you an excerpt from The Curse of Betrayal that goes along with the song. These teasers are small but they give you insight on the novel. So enjoy! Less than two weeks until the release!!

Show Me What I'm Looking For- Carolina Liar

LYRICS

Wait, I'm wrong
Should have done better than this
Please, I'll be strong
I'm finding it hard to resist
So show me what I'm looking for

Save me, I'm lost
Oh, Lord, I've been waiting for you
I'll pay any cost
Save me from being confused
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for, oh, Lord

Don't let go
I've wanted this far too long
Mistakes become regrets
I've learned to love abuse
Please show me what I'm looking for

Save me, I'm lost
Oh, Lord, I've been waiting for you
I'll pay any cost
Save me from being confused
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for, oh, lord

Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for

Save me, I'm lost
Oh, Lord, I've been waiting for you
I'll pay any cost
Just save me from being confused
Wait, I'm wrong
I can't do better than this
I'll pay any cost
Save me from being confused
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for
Show me what I'm looking for, oh, Lord

TEASER

I scream when sight and sound come back to me. I don’t know what happened or how the vision is suddenly changing, but every aspect of it unhinges me. I can’t handle the intensity. This has never happened to me before. I’ve never dreamt one thing only to have it change later. It’s unsettling.
“Eury, what happened?” Ari’s intense focus is solely on me. The sheets are draped around his waist, leaving his chest bare. Focusing on Ari, I’m able to slow down my breathing, letting my sputtering heart rest.
“Another dream,” I whisper. Ari wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into him, cradling my head against his chest. I cry as he comforts me, slowly rubbing up and down my back. “Thank god you were here,” I whisper to him, happy that I wasn’t in my dorm room. I need to find a way to control my mind, and I know Professor Onassis is the only one who can help me.
